Booking Magician California Privacy Notice

This notice supplements the Booking Magician Privacy Policy and applies to California residents. Terms defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act ("CCPA"), have the same meaning here.

The Service is intended for adults 18 and older.
1. Notice at Collection
We collect the following categories for the listed purposes:

We do not use sensitive personal information to infer characteristics or for purposes that require a right to limit under the CCPA.
We retain these categories according to Section 6 below. We do not sell personal information for money. If marketing cookies are enabled, disclosure of identifiers and network activity to advertising providers may constitute "sharing" or a "sale" under the CCPA. You may opt out at Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information.
2. Categories Collected, Sources, and Purposes
During the preceding 12 months, we collected the categories identified above from users, our website and apps, service providers, app stores and billing providers, analytics or advertising providers used subject to consent, affiliate providers, and reservation or content providers needed to operate supported alerts.
We used these categories to create and secure accounts, monitor availability, deliver alerts, process purchases, maintain entitlements, provide support, detect abuse, perform consented analytics or advertising, administer affiliates, and meet legal or accounting obligations.
3. Disclosure, Sale, and Sharing
During the preceding 12 months, we disclosed identifiers, customer records, commercial information, network activity, and approximate geolocation to service providers or contractors for the business purposes described above.
Recipient categories include infrastructure and communications providers; app stores, billing and payout providers; analytics and advertising providers subject to consent and opt-out rights; affiliate, reservation, and content providers; professional advisers and authorities; and successors involved in a business transaction.
We do not sell personal information for money. When a visitor enabled marketing cookies, we may have shared identifiers and network activity with advertising providers for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16. The Service is restricted to adults 18 and older.
4. Your California Rights
Subject to exceptions, California residents may:
- know the categories, sources, purposes, recipients, and specific pieces of personal information collected;
- request deletion;
- request correction of inaccurate information;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- opt out of sale or sharing;
- limit certain uses of sensitive personal information, although our current use does not trigger that right; and
- receive equal service and pricing when exercising a privacy right.
To exercise access, correction, deletion, or portability rights, email help@bookingmagician.com. To opt out of sale or sharing, use Cookie Preferences, enable GPC, or follow the instructions on our opt-out page.
We may verify a request by asking you to authenticate or confirm control of your account email. An authorized agent must provide proof of authority, and we may also verify directly with you.
We generally respond within 45 days and may take an additional 45 days when permitted after giving notice. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the decision or emailing us with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
5. Global Privacy Control
We recognize a valid GPC signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for the browser sending the signal. GPC overrides a prior marketing-cookie choice for that browser. Cookie choices and GPC are generally browser-specific, so repeat the choice on other browsers or devices.
6. Retention
We retain each category only as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected:
- account, contact, alert, and preference information while an account remains active and for the time needed to complete a deletion request;
- commercial and transaction information for subscription administration and applicable accounting, tax, dispute, payment-provider, and legal requirements;
- device, network, and activity information for the time needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service;
- support and privacy-request records for the time needed to resolve the request and document compliance; and
- cookie and consent records for the time needed to honor choices and meet legal obligations.
Information may remain in backups until they expire in the ordinary course. A legal hold, active dispute, fraud or security investigation, or provider rule may require longer retention. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed.
7. Financial Incentives
Creator codes, referral discounts, affiliate commissions, and paid-plan features are not offered in exchange for permission to retain, sell, or share personal information. The applicable promotion or affiliate offer controls its commercial terms.
8. Changes
Non-material changes become effective when the revised notice and date are posted. If a change materially affects your rights or how previously collected personal information is used, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent when required by law.
