Gage & Tollner

New York City
Restaurant
A Brooklyn institution from 1879 until 2004, Gage & Tollner was reopened by restaurant vets Sohui Kim, Ben Schneider, and St. John Frizell in 2021 to great acclaim—including a spot on The New York Times's top 100 restaurants list. With classic dishes like oysters Rockefeller and chicken liver paté, as well as a selection of grass-fed, dry-aged steaks, the menu pays homage to the restaurant’s long history. Served in an award-winning dining room anchored by arched mirrors and a spacious dark-wood bar, Gage & Tollner nods to the past while feeling entirely modern (note the teeny 'tinis offered at happy hour).
