The Cat & Fiddle is a place with a story: Founded in 1982 in Laurel Canyon by English rock bassist Kim Gardner, it later had a 29-year run on Sunset Boulevard (the likes of Rod Stewart and Robert Plant were regulars), closed for a few years, then reopened at its present site — still under Gardner family ownership. Expect unpretentious British fare — sausage rolls, shepherd’s pie, fish and chips, and traditional Sunday roast dinners.
